[the_challenge] : so many entries!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the fresh installment of [the_challenge]!

Topic: Light.
Be creative and think outside the box, but make sure you stay relevant..

The rules are as follows:

-Deadline: March 12th.
- We encourage you to think outside of the box. Keep in mind that we place emphasis on creativity, originality and meaning behind the pieces.
- Your entry has to be a new submission specifically meant for [the_challenge], and only one entry per person.
- Multiple shots framed together as one entry are not allowed.
- Tweaking and editing is allowed as long as you don't go overboard. Remember, photography not photomanipulation.
- Submit your deviation to your account, mentioning [the_challenge] along with a link to *punkush, and post the link to your entry in this journal.

Thumbnails of the submissions will be added to the journals as they are received.

[the_challenge] is a unique photographic 'contest' because we focus on several areas. We ask that you take photographs based on a subject that we give you, but we place emphasis on the meaning behind the pieces as well as the aesthetics. At the end of it, once the time is up, we constructively and thoroughly comment on each one of the entries that we received. It is only then that we pick the winner and a few runner-ups.

We're doing it a little differently this time, as we are not able to offer a subscription prize. It is something that will be returning in the future, but for now we simply ask you to take part for the sheer pleasure of seeing your work take on meaning, and for the possibility of having it featured in both the journals of *lewcid and * smellykapcie, as well as this one.

WOW, now there's a topic I'm gonna have a hard time deciding on.

So many interpretations, so many ideas already in my head and I've gotta choose one & only one

Lets hope I pick the right one...

Definitely interesting, thanks for informing me.

What went through my mind was "light painting", since I've experimented extensively with long-exposure photography.
Below are a few samples, though I'm prolly not going to submit a light-painted photograph ... to challenge myself (to think outside another box).

I'm not committing to this contest, because for the next two week I'm screwed with work; so if I get a chance, I'll take a new shot, and submit.

Can't wait to see the results! Too bad that I don't have a camera at the moment. Oh, yeah, and I need months and months of practice. The ideas I'm getting now are pretty tormenting,seeing that they'll be trapped in my head for a while longer... But good luck to all who enter!
